This order applies a tariff concession (item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995) to a narrowly defined class of imported offshore prefabricated cabins: ones that have air conditioners, double‑glazed windows, fixed ladders and paint at least 190 microns thick. Made under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901 and effective 28 September 2009, it mechanically changes how those specific imported cabins are treated for tariff purposes; qualification depends on meeting the listed physical features and the order may be revoked under ss 269SC/269SD.
