Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Order makes self-adhesive cellulose tape (tariff classification 3919.10.00) subject to Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, so that the Schedule 4 tariff treatment applies on import. It takes effect from 3 September 2009 and continues until revoked under the Customs Act. The practical effect is on importers and customs clearance: it determines which tariff concession (and thus the customs treatment and duties) applies to that product.
