Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order declares that “scoops, pet litter” (tariff classification 3924.90.00) are subject to item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, effective 8 July 2009 until revoked. Mechanically, it changes which Schedule 4 concession (if any) applies to imports of that product, so importers and customs officers are the primary parties affected and revocation occurs under ss 269SC/269SD of the Customs Act 1901.
