Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order, made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 by a delegate of the CEO, applies a Schedule 4 tariff concession from 19‑Jun‑2009 to specified aluminium potline cell‑tending assembly parts listed in the Table. It reduces or removes import duty for those listed parts (shifting cost from importers to foregone tariff revenue), so importers pay less, Customs administers the concession, and import behaviour may increase for those parts while the Order remains in force (revocable under ss.269SC/269SD).
