This Order applies a tariff concession (Schedule 4, Item 50) to studless anchor chains of diameter at least 81 mm classified under tariff 7315.82.00, effective 6 May 2009 and continuing until revoked. The concession changes how these imported chains are treated for customs tariff purposes.
Importers of the listed chains are the direct beneficiaries and must correctly classify and document shipments. The CEO’s delegate made the Order under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901; revocation follows ss.269SC/269SD. Decision power rests with the administering agency; compliance is administrative.
