Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This order treats certain washing presses (classified at tariff code 8479.89.90 and described by a components list) as goods covered by item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. That designation, effective 27 March 2009, lets importers claim the specified tariff concession and remains in force until revoked under sections 269SC or 269SD of the Customs Act 1901. It therefore affects importers, customs officials and any businesses relying on that tariff treatment.
