This Order (under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901) declares that a specific polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film—coated with polyvinylidene chloride, backed with polyethylene and not wider than 350 mm—is to which item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. It takes effect from 17 March 2009 and remains until revoked. Mechanically, it alters the customs treatment of imports of that narrowly described film; importers must show the product meets the specification and customs officials apply the Schedule 4 item.
