Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Order (under s269P of the Customs Act 1901) applies item 50 of Part III of Schedule 4 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 to a narrowly described class of spirally welded API 5L Grade B steel pipe (specified dimensions, polyethylene layers, rubber inserts), effective 27 January 2009. Mechanically, importers bringing goods that match the Table get the tariff treatment set by that Schedule item; the Order can be revoked under ss269SC–269SD. Importers must ensure the goods precisely meet the listed specifications to qualify.
