This Tariff Concession Order (made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901) declares that imported coupling agents (Customs classification 3824.90.90) containing at least 35% organosilane are goods to which Part III item 50 of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, effective 2 September 2008. Mechanically, it changes the tariff treatment of those imports (affecting importers' costs); the Order was made by a CEO delegate (s.269P) and can be revoked under ss.269SC–269SD, so importers must classify and document compliance and monitor for revocation.
