Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Summary: This Tariff Concession Order (TCO 0825942) declares a specific steel wire (hard-drawn low‑carbon, phosphate‑coated, 18–20 mm diameter, with tightly specified chemical composition) to which item 50 of Part III, Schedule 4 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, effective 11 August 2008, made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901.

Importers of that wire obtain the Schedule 4 concession (reduced or exempt customs duty); claiming it requires matching tariff code 7217.90.00 and the stated size/chemical specs, and revocation is by the CEO (ss.269SC/269SD).
