This Tariff Concession Order applies item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 to shell-and-tube, water-cooled condensers (customs classification 8419.50.90), effective 12 June 2008 until revoked. It is made under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901 by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer (Wendy Knowles).
Practically, importers of these condensers can claim the tariff concession (reducing or removing import duty); the Commonwealth forgoes the corresponding revenue. The concession is revocable under sections 269SC–269SD and requires correct tariff classification to rely on it.
