This Order, made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901, declares that "rail clamps, brake, hydraulic" (tariff classification 8479.89.90) are eligible for the concessional tariff item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, effective 30 April 2008. Mechanically, it lets importers bring those goods in under the specified Schedule 4 concession until the Order is revoked (ss.269SC–269SD).
Who pays/benefits: importers of the listed goods benefit from lower duty; the decision is recorded by a CEO delegate (Paul Mercer). Importers must comply with customs classification and record-keeping while the concession is in force.
