This Order declares that specific forming plates for meat, chicken, fish, cheese or vegetables (Tariff classification 8438.90.90) are goods to which item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. It took effect on 29 February 2008 and continues until revoked (made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901; revocation under ss.269SC/269SD).
Mechanically, the Order changes which tariff treatment applies to those imported plates, so importers — not the Act itself — realise whatever duty reduction or condition item 50 provides; the decision was recorded by a delegate of the CEO (dated 9 May 2008).
