This Order treats a specific class of imported oil-and-gas modulators (pipes; isolation, modulating and choke valves; and electronic controls) classified at tariff heading 8481.80.90 as falling under Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. Effective 20 February 2008 until revoked, it changes how customs tariff law applies to those goods — altering the import tariff outcome and therefore the commercial costs faced by importers and downstream buyers.
