Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Tariff Concession Order declares that a narrowly described type of outdoor, weatherproof loudspeaker is to be treated under Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. It takes effect from 15 January 2008 and remains until revoked under the Customs Act.

Mechanically, the Order changes how importers and customs classify and treat those specific loudspeakers for tariff purposes: importers must meet the listed technical specifications to obtain the Schedule 4 Item 50 treatment, and the CEO’s delegate made the determination under s.269P.
