This Order designates imported cotton yarn (tariff heading 5205.11.90) as eligible for the tariff treatment set out at Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, effective 20 December 2007. It continues until revoked under sections 269SC or 269SD. Practically, the CEO’s delegate used section 269P to apply the concession; importers of this yarn pay reduced or no duty under that Schedule, and the Commonwealth forgoes the corresponding tariff revenue. Compliance depends on correct tariff classification and customs administration.
