Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Order (effective 20 Nov 2007) declares particular parts for power-station steam‑generation boiler air heaters (tariff heading 8404.90.00) to be treated under item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, changing their tariff treatment. Importers of these listed parts face altered duty obligations (they pay less or different duty); the decision was made by a delegate of the CEO under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 and can be revoked under ss.269SC–269SD. Compliance requires correct tariff classification and reliance on the Schedule mapping.
