Under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901, this Order (effective 19 Sep 2007) declares that certain parts (tariff classification 8536.50.99) — electrical switches and actuators for on‑road trucks with gross vehicle weight ≥7.5 tonnes — are goods to which Part III, Schedule 4 item 50 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, until revoked (ss269SC/269SD). Mechanically, it changes the tariff treatment at import: importers may claim the Schedule 4 outcome for these parts; customs enforces classification and revocation alters importer costs.
