This Order says imported granules described as a “carbon dioxide absorbent” (tariff classification 3824.90.90) that contain at least 70% calcium hydroxide are covered by Schedule 4, Item 50 from 6 Sep 2007 until revoked. It affects importers of that product by making a specific tariff concession available; the decision is made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 by a delegate of the CEO and may be revoked under ss.269SC or 269SD. Importers must meet the chemical specification to use the concession.
