This Order, made under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901, declares adjustable 240V halogen work lamps with stands (tariff classification 9405.40.00) to be covered by Schedule 4 item 50 as a tariff concession from 31 August 2007 and continuing until revoked. Mechanically, it lets importers bring those specified lamps into Australia under the concession listed in Schedule 4. The declaration was made by a delegate of the CEO; revocation is governed by sections 269SC or 269SD of the Customs Act. Importers must correctly classify goods and will face lower tariffs; the Commonwealth forgoes the corresponding tariff revenue.
