This Tariff Concession Order applies a Schedule 4 tariff concession (item 50) to imported mooring ropes described in the Table: 3‑strand polyethylene or polypropylene ropes that comply with Australian Standard 4142.2‑1993 and have a diameter of 14–48 mm. The concession is effective from 24 May 2007 and continues until revoked.
It changes customs duty treatment for importers of those specific ropes (they qualify for the Schedule 4 item if they meet the description). The Order was made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer; importers must meet the product description and standard to qualify.
