This order declares that imported goods described as “suppressors, deflagration” (tariff classification 8424.89.90) qualify for the tariff concession listed as item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. It takes effect from 29 March 2007 and continues until revoked.
Mechanically, the concession lowers the customs duty payable on those imports. The declaration was made by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer; importers must correctly classify goods to rely on the concession.
