This Order applies a tariff concession (Part III, Schedule 4 item 50) to imported yarn described as “mercerised combed cotton, unwaxed and gassed mercerised” (tariff heading 5205.22.00), effective 29 November 2006 until revoked under sections 269SC or 269SD. It reduces customs duty for importers of that specific yarn and therefore lowers input costs for textile firms. A delegate of the CEO made the decision under s269P; importers must correctly classify and document the goods to claim the concession.
