Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Tariff Concession Order declares that wooden “pencil” slats meeting exact size limits (length ≤184 mm, width ≤74 mm, thickness ≤7 mm) are goods to which Part III, Schedule 4 Item 50 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, effective 26 May 2006 until revoked (s269P; ss269SC/269SD). It primarily affects importers/suppliers of those slats, who must ensure the goods match the stated description to qualify; the Order text does not itself set out the fiscal consequences.
