Declares specified leaded anodes (precise weight and composition thresholds) to be treated as goods covered by Schedule 4 item 50 of the Customs Tariff Act, granting concessional tariff treatment from 7 Feb 2006 (made under s.269P, Customs Act 1901).
Importers of those anodes gain reduced customs duty and must prove the goods meet the technical description; the Commonwealth forgoes tariff revenue. The order was made by a delegate of the CEO (Wendy Knowles) and remains in force until revoked under ss.269SC–269SD, creating sourcing and compliance incentives for importers and suppliers.
