Under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901, this Order (effective 9 Dec 2005) declares that certain transportable tree chippers/debarkers — with an internal combustion engine of at least 295 kW and a disc drive shaft of at least 110 mm, classified at 8436.80.90 — are goods to which Part III, Schedule 4 item 50 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. This mechanically places those imported machines within a specified tariff concession.
The declaration was made by a delegate of the CEO (Wendy Knowles) and remains in force until revoked under ss 269SC or 269SD; importers are the direct parties affected and must ensure the machines meet the listed technical criteria to obtain the concession.
