What it does: This Tariff Concession Order (TCO 0512437) declares that goods described as “flame detectors and igniters, fuel oil, steam generation boiler” (tariff classification 9613.80.90) are goods to which Part III, Schedule 4 (Item 50) of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. It took effect 23 December 2005 and continues until revoked under ss 269SC or 269SD of the Customs Act 1901.
Who it affects: importers and suppliers of these detectors/igniters. The decision was made by a CEO delegate under s 269P; the instrument therefore changes the tariff treatment and so affects import compliance, costs and administrative obligations.
