This order gives importers a customs duty exemption (tax break) on a specific type of industrial equipment.
What goods are covered:
Industrial heating ovens used for extrusion dies with separate chambers. These are specialized ovens used in manufacturing processes (for example, to pre-heat metal dies used in aluminum extrusion).
What this means:
Importers can bring these ovens into Australia duty-free under Item 50 of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. Without this order, these goods (classified under tariff code 8514.10.90) would normally attract import duty.
Duration:
The concession took effect on 15 September 2005 and remains in force indefinitely until revoked.
