Under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901, a delegate of the CEO declares that a specific fabric (tariff heading 5603.12.00 — containing over 60% cellulose fibre and polypropylene) is a good to which Part III, Schedule 4 item 50 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, effective 12 September 2005 and continuing until revoked (ss.269SC/269SD). Mechanically, the Order fixes the tariff-classification outcome for that described fabric (s.269P); parties relying on tariff classification should apply this treatment when lodging customs paperwork.
