This Tariff Concession Order applies Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 to specific imported goods: drive shafts for wind‑turbine powered generators (tariff classification 8483.10.99), effective 8 September 2005. Mechanically, it makes those parts eligible for the Schedule 4 concession until revoked.
Importers of the specified parts pay lower or no customs duty under the concession (foregoing revenue to the Commonwealth). The decision was taken by a delegate of the CEO under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 and can be revoked under ss.269SC–269SD; importers must correctly classify and document imports to claim the benefit.
