Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order treats pharmaceutical gelatin-capsule melters (tariff heading 8419.89.90) as goods eligible for the Schedule 4, item 50 tariff concession from 22 July 2005. Mechanically, it lowers import duty for importers who classify goods under that code; the declaration was made under s.269P and may be revoked under ss.269SC–269SD, creating administrative discretion and requiring correct tariff classification and customs compliance.
