Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order declares that "TRAMS, bi-directional, low floor" (Tariff classification 8603.10.00) are goods to which a Part III item of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, with effect from 19 January 2005. It remains in force until revoked under sections 269SC or 269SD.

It therefore fixes the legal tariff classification for those imported trams, affecting importers, customs officers and contracting authorities because legal treatment under the Customs Tariff Act follows from that classification.
