#### 18 Gifts, endowments, bequests and devises 18 Gifts, endowments, bequests and devises > > (1) The Trust shall have power to acquire by gift inter vivos, endowment, bequest or devise, any property for any of the purposes of this Act, and to agree to the condition of any such gift, endowment, bequest or devise. > > > (2) The rule of law relating to perpetuities shall not apply to any such condition to which the Trust has agreed. > > > (3) The [Duties Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-123) does not apply to or in respect of any gift inter vivos, endowment, bequest or devise made or to be made to the Opera House or the Trust. > > **s 18:** Am 1989 No 132, Sch 2; 2005 No 64, Sch 1.42 \[4\].
