Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument lists the jet aircraft types that may take off or land during Sydney Airport curfew periods and revokes the 2005 notice. It does so by naming specific type‑certificate numbers, excluding certain variants above a weight threshold and granting temporary permission (until 31 December 2022) for some types that do not meet Annex noise limits.

It affects aircraft operators and regulators: the Minister decides which types are allowed; operators must ensure their aircraft match the listed certificates and comply with the weight and noise conditions, changing night‑operation rights and imposing compliance costs.
