### 944 Return of the writ > > (1) An order is not to issue for the return of a writ. > > > (2) The party at whose suit the writ was issued may give notice to the Sheriff requiring the Sheriff to return the writ or make a report or bring in the body within a specified time, being not less than 8 days. > > > (3) If the Sheriff does not comply with the notice, the Sheriff is liable to attachment on the application of the person giving the notice.
