### 590 Charge for transcripts
> > (1) A party or person to whom a transcript is provided is to pay the prescribed fee for the transcript.
>
> > (2) The registrar may require a person to lodge a deposit before a transcript is made.

> > (3) Any deposit received is to be deducted from the amount payable under [subrule (1)](#GS590@Gs1@EN) .

> > (4) A party who is an assisted person within the meaning of the [Legal Aid Commission Act 1990](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1990-042) and who is unsuccessful in a proceeding is not required to pay for a transcript.
