### 488 Examiner's fees and expenses
> > (1) On the application of an examiner, the Court or a judge may order the party who obtained an order under [rule 476](#GS476@EN) to pay to the examiner any fees and expenses payable in respect of the examination.
>
> > (2) An order under [subrule (1)](#GS488@Gs1@EN) is to be without prejudice to any question on the taxation of costs as to the party by whom the costs of the examination are to be borne.
>
> > (3) An examiner, other than an officer of the Court or a judge of an inferior court of civil jurisdiction, is entitled to be paid by the party who obtained an order under [rule 476](#GS476@EN) –
> >
> > > > (a) any fees at any times specified in the order appointing the examiner or by a subsequent order; and
> > >
> > > > (b) all reasonable expenses, including any charges for the room, other than the examiner's office or chambers, in which the examination is conducted.
