### 333 Claims against members otherwise than as members
> > (1) In an action in which a society is named as a defendant, a claim may be joined against a person who is a member or officer of the society in respect of any claim against the person, otherwise than as a member of the society, if the joinder is authorised by [Division 12](#HP7@HD12@EN) of [Part 7](#HP7@EN) .

> > (2) If a claim is joined in accordance with [subrule (1)](#GS333@Gs1@EN) , the action, so far as it concerns that claim, is to proceed as if the person against whom the claim is made were the only defendant to the action.
