> In this Part –

> > ***claim*** includes a counterclaim and a cross-application;

> > ***contribution claim*** means a claim to recover contribution from, or indemnity against, any person;

> > ***defendant*** includes –

> > > > (a) a respondent to an originating application; and

> > > > (b) a defendant by counterclaim; and
