### 189 Intervention
> The Attorney-General may intervene in a proceeding referred to in [section 16(1)(a)](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1993-014#GS16@Gs1@Hpa@EN) or [(b) of the](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1993-014#GS16@Gs1@Hpb@EN) [Crown Proceedings Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1993-014) by –

> > > (a) filing in the registry in which the proceeding is pending a notice stating that the Attorney-General intervenes in the proceeding and the grounds of that intervention; and
> >
> > > (b) serving a copy of that notice on each party to the proceedings.
