Tasmania regulation
This instrument updates the Supreme Court’s scale of fees in Tasmania — the list of charges for filings, registry services, hearings and related court activities. It changes what users (litigants, lawyers, businesses and government bodies) pay to use the Court and how the Court collects revenue.
Why it matters: raising, lowering or reclassifying fees directly alters the cost of bringing or defending proceedings, shifts incentives about settlement and procedure, and affects the Court’s administrative revenue and recovery of costs.
