The Supreme Court Amendment Rules 2019 update court procedure by incorporating amendments into the authorised Supreme Court Rules 2000 and rescinding Part IV of the older Rules of the Supreme Court 1965. They take effect when the Supreme Court Civil Procedure Amendment Act 2019 commences, so litigants, lawyers and court staff must use the consolidated 2000 Rules from that date; the primary compliance cost is updating practice and documents to match the revised authorised text.
