Tasmania regulation
These Rules amend the Supreme Court Rules 2000 to change how the Supreme Court applies rates of interest. They take effect when their making is notified in the Gazette and are incorporated into the authorised Principal Rules. The change affects parties, lawyers and judgment creditors/debtors by altering who pays interest and litigation incentives; it requires practitioners and court staff to update compliance and administrative practice (rules 2–4).
