These Rules of Court may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment (Fees and Costs) Rules 2009 .

Mechanically, these Rules amend the Supreme Court Rules 2000 to change how fees and costs are handled in Supreme Court proceedings and take effect seven days after Gazette notification (s2–s3; rr4–5). They affect litigants, lawyers and court administrators because they change who pays or recovers court fees and how costs are administered; the amendments are incorporated into the authorised version of the Principal Rules (rr4–5).

These Rules of Court may be cited as the Supreme Court Amendment (Fees and Costs) Rules 2009 .
These Rules of Court take effect on the seventh day after the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these Rules of Court, the Supreme Court Rules 2000 are referred to as the Principal Rules.
