27A Protection of special referees, mediators and arbitrators S. 27A(1) amended by No. 47/2010 s. 81(2). (1) A special referee, mediator or arbitrator to whom a proceeding, part of a proceeding or question arising in a proceeding is referred under the Rules or under the **Civil Procedure Act 2010** has, in the performance of his or her duties in connection with the reference, the same protection and immunity as a Judge of the Court has in the performance of his or her duties as a Judge. S. 27A(2) amended by No. 50/2011 s. 46(Sch. item 14.2). (2) Subsection (1) applies despite anything to the contrary in the **Commercial Arbitration Act 2011**.
