47 Functions of registrar and deputy registrars
(1) The registrar has power to administer oaths and may exercise the
other functions given to the registrar under this Act, another territory
law or a special order of the court.
(2) Subject to this Act and to any directions of the registrar, a deputy
registrar may exercise the functions of the registrar under this Act or
another territory law.
Note A reference to an Act includes a reference to the statutory instruments
made or in force under the Act, including regulations and rules (see
Legislation Act, s 104).
(3) The exercise of a function by a deputy registrar does not affect the
power of the registrar to exercise the function.
