This Act authorises the Treasurer to issue and apply £812,622 from the Consolidated Revenue Fund to pay for specified Commonwealth departments and services for the year ending 30 June 1914. It lists detailed allocations to departments, refunds and trust‑fund credits and limits spending to that financial year. The legal effect is purely fiscal: it makes money available (subject to Governor‑General warrants) rather than creating new powers or duties for departments.

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives as follows:—
