Commonwealth act
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Supply Act authorises the withdrawal and appropriation of £8,323,000 from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for Commonwealth operations to 30 June 1938, funding government departments (including Defence), the Postmaster‑General and Commonwealth Railways, and administration of territories.
It also provides £400,000 for revenue refunds and a £500,000 advance to the Treasurer, and imposes a strict deadline: unspent funds lapse after 30 June 1938, making this the legal authority for 1937–38 government spending.
