Commonwealth act
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This 1935 Appropriation Act authorizes the Australian Government to withdraw £4,531,540 from the Treasury to fund Commonwealth operations for 1935–36. It allocates fixed sums to departments and major services—largest shares to Defence and Business Undertakings (railways, postal/telephone)—and funds Parliament, Treasury, Attorney‑General, Health, Territories, and a £700,000 reserve for refunds/emergencies. The Act affects departmental budgets and lapses on 30 June 1936; unspent amounts cannot be carried forward.
