Commonwealth act
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Act authorises the Commonwealth to spend £964,596 from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for 1913–14 to meet departmental salaries and operating expenses until 30 June 1914. Major allocations fund defence and nationwide postal/telegraph services, with smaller amounts for Parliament, administration, courts, territories and trade. It also provides £20,000 for revenue refunds and a £250,000 advance to the Treasurer for contingencies; all payments require Governor‑General warrants.
